About
Like so many of you, my path has been shaped by hard work and determination. I wasn’t handed anything in life — I started out here in Tyler as a young carpenter with nothing but my tools and an old used car. Over the years, Tyler has become more than just where I live, it has my heart — it’s home to my family, my faith, my friends, and my future. It’s where I met my wife, Stori, more than 20 years ago, and where our daughter, Grey, was born and raised.
Service has always been part of who I am. As a small business owner with over 25 years of experience, I’ve learned that success doesn’t come easily — it requires planning, responsibility, and close attention to costs. In my business, I’ve experienced firsthand the challenges of building roads and infrastructure, and I know what it takes to fix them. For more than a decade, I’ve been directly involved in improving public streets, managing road, water, and sewer projects, and working side-by-side with engineers and contractors to get the job done right — on time and on budget.
For 17 years, I’ve volunteered my time with the City — from the Planning and Zoning Commission to City Council, the Half Cent Committee, and the Construction Board of Appeals. I’ve also been a member of Grace Community Church for 24 years, where my family and I worship and serve, and I currently serve on the board of Grace Community School.
Tyler is about strong families, strong faith, and strong communities. With my background in business operations, building, and managing infrastructure, I’m committed to helping the City of Tyler not just grow, but THRIVE — making sure we take care of what we have while planning wisely for the future.
