Planning for the Future

Texas is predicted to almost double in population over the next 30 years. I will work to put long term plans in place for key growth initiatives including, road connectivity to address traffic and sewer capacity expansion.

City Council Accomplishments

  • Worked to receive support for HB 1279 from the Texas Association of Builders and traveled to Austin to testify in person on behalf of the City to allow continued growth into the Tall Timbers/Liberty waste water certification area.

  • Lobbied in Austin for our Hotel and Motel Sales Tax rebate of the State’s portion to aid our goal of debt free growth and fiscal responsibility. This will help achieve our goal for building a city conference center.

  • Strategically helped several neighborhoods in District 6 enter into development agreements to allow for growth that minimizes impact on existing neighborhoods

  • Personally met with many constituents to solve local issues and problems resulting in positive outcomes.

  • Performs continued reviews of the City budget and advocates for departmental fiscal accountability.

  • Worked to ensure a full rebuild of Cambridge Bend road with NO debt.

  • Worked to raise 50% private funding and 50% from the Half Cent Sales Tax for an all-accessible playground at Southside Park with NO debt.
